A job full of variety: Luisa on her work at Local Brand X
Hello Luisa, thank you for taking the time. Please introduce yourself briefly.
My name is Luisa Reiß and I have been working at Local Brand X as an assistant to the management since October 2024.
You haven't been with us that long. What made you decide to apply to Local Brand X ?
I actually discovered the job advertisement by chance and couldn't get it out of my head. As I was looking for new challenges anyway, I thought to myself: "I'll just give it a try and see what happens." And now I'm here, which makes me very happy.
How would you describe your typical working day and what do you particularly like about it?
I don't really have a typical working day because my tasks are so varied. They range from assistance tasks to HR issues, classic office management and accounting topics. I also deal with data protection and occupational safety, which means that every day is different. Depending on the priority, I sometimes spend more time on HR issues and other times more on accounting. It's this variety that I particularly like and makes my job so exciting.
Did you always want to work in this field, or what was your dream job as a child?
No, not at all! As a child, I wanted to be an air hostess because I thought it was cool. But I quickly realized that I wasn't cut out to walk in high heels all day and the fact that I had to wear contact lenses because I wore glasses wasn't ideal either. When I was 17 or 18, I discovered that I enjoyed commercial processes. I then trained as an industrial clerk in order to broaden my horizons. After working as an accountant and office manager, I finally ended up as an assistant. In my current position, I have now found something that combines all of these areas - and I simply enjoy it so much.
You already know Local Brand X a bit. How would you describe the team spirit?
I would describe us as a dynamic electoral family. You can tell that everyone really enjoys working together. We pull together and everyone helps everyone else.
Last but not least: What is your favorite thing to do in your free time when you want to completely switch off? Do you have a hobby or passion that you really thrive on?
I read a lot in my free time - it's the perfect calming influence for me. I also like to meet up with friends and enjoy games or cocktail evenings, which are always really nice. I've also discovered yoga to balance out all the sitting in the office, which is really good for me.
